How We Helped Gattaca Solutions Launch Their Own Dedicated Website to Support Rapid Growth

Gattaca Solutions is a specialist arm of Gattaca PLC and provider of outsourced recruitment solutions for the engineering and technology sectors.Gattaca Solutions had previously been represented online through sub-pages of their parent company’s website, which limited the brand’s overall visibility online. As the business continued to expand, it became clear that a more dedicated online presence was necessary to align with their strategic goals and ambitious growth targets.

The Challenge

As a result of Gattaca Solutions’ rapid growth, they faced several challenges that could only be addressed with a new dedicated website.

Firstly, their small presence as part of Gattaca PLC’s larger website didn’t fully reflect the company’s size, scale, specialist focus or their position in the market. Gattaca Solutions needed space to communicate their unique value proposition and effectively market their specialised services. 

Secondly, with increasing website traffic, the user experience became a significant concern. Visitors found it challenging to find relevant content quickly and this was reflected in the bounce rate. This directly impacted lead generation and conversions, impacting business growth.

Lastly, Gattaca Solutions needed more control over their content and a site that would grow with them as they continued to evolve. Their previous setup limited their ability to make swift in-house updates, and they required a system that would allow their internal teams to manage and edit the website easily without needing a developer.

 

The Solution

Gattaca Solutions had worked with specialist recruitment branding agency Hoxo, to develop fresh, new brand guidelines, making it the ideal time for Hewitt Matthews to design & build a new website that would not only solve the challenges above, but also provide the perfect base for their brand relaunch and support future growth. Here’s how we approached it:

  • Dedicated Website with Clear Navigation: The new Gattaca Solutions website was built from the ground up, completely independent from the parent company’s site. This allowed the brand to showcase who they are, their offerings, and their expertise with clarity. We focused on creating a logical, easy-to-follow navigation structure, ensuring visitors could find what they need more quickly and efficiently than before. This overhaul aims to significantly reduce the bounce rate and increase user engagement, ultimately improving conversion rates & inbound leads.
  • Custom Animations and Fresh Brand Identity: It goes without saying, the new site we designed had a modern, fresh new look and feel in keeping with the new brand guidelines. We built custom animations which brought the new brand to life. The animations made the site far more visually engaging and made key elements and words more prominent. We’ve also built this feature in such a way that, as the website develops with time, the Gattaca Solutions team are able to re-use and apply these animations across the new & existing content, without needing any developer support.
  • Easy In-House Edits: One of the key objectives was to empower the Gattaca Solutions team to manage their website in-house. To achieve this, we implemented WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS) and base for the project, coupled with Advanced Custom Fields to create a website that allows Gattaca’s internal teams to make updates and changes without needing extensive technical expertise, while also ensuring continued adherence to the styling rules of the site. This balance of flexibility & design governance ensures they can keep their site up to date and make improvements as their business evolves while staying on-brand.

The new site accurately reflects their brand identity, better engages visitors, and focuses on driving net-new lead generation.
